BUYER FAQ

Clear answers before the interfaces are locked.

A practical starting point for enterprise and industrial buyers evaluating deployment, integration, and operating responsibility.

TECHNICAL + PROCUREMENT REVIEW

Built for the questions that surface late.

WattWeave works across cloud intelligence, onsite execution, multi-vendor controls, and the responsibility boundaries that determine whether a system is ready to operate.

Deployment

WattWeave combines cloud-based monitoring, solar forecasting, strategy management, and performance review with an onsite edge controller. The edge controller connects with site equipment and executes customer-approved control strategies. The specific hardware, network, operating limits, and project responsibilities are defined for each site.

The onsite edge controller can continue operating with the last approved strategy or local control logic if cloud connectivity is interrupted. The exact fallback behavior, operating limits, and control authority are established during project design and validation.

Integration

Depending on the project scope, WattWeave can coordinate solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, facility loads, generators, meters, and grid-program interfaces. Equipment capabilities, data points, operating modes, and control authority remain site-specific and are validated with the project team.

Current WattWeave materials list Modbus RTU/TCP, MQTT, DNP3, BACnet, and REST APIs across equipment and interface categories. The published protocol matrix reflects production-deployment coverage as of Q2 2025; coverage and data-point availability are evaluated against the equipment and controls scope for each project.

Discuss your interface requirements

Unlisted vendors and existing controls stacks are evaluated per customer. The evaluation depends on available protocols, data points, control capabilities, communications requirements, and the responsibilities assigned in the project scope. Share the vendor and controls details through the contact form for a project-specific review.

Delivery and responsibility

WattWeave defines objectives, architecture, interfaces, controls requirements, validation needs, and responsibility boundaries for the engagement. Physical onsite installation, equipment commissioning, warranty service, and onsite electrical work remain with the EPC, equipment vendor, technology partner, or other party assigned in the agreed project scope and responsibility matrix.

Security and compliance

The published architecture describes cloud monitoring and strategy management working with an onsite edge controller, including local execution behavior when cloud connectivity is interrupted. The checkout materials do not verify a buyer-specific security review, encryption posture, tenant isolation, identity controls, retention terms, or other deployment security commitments. Those details should be reviewed for the proposed project.

No certification or compliance framework is verified in the available WattWeave materials for this FAQ. WattWeave does not make a blanket certification or compliance-attestation promise here; buyers should use the contact form to request the framework, evidence, and review materials relevant to their deployment.

Program eligibility

No. Demand-response and VPP eligibility depends on site characteristics, program rules, utility requirements, customer approval, and the responsibilities of other parties. WattWeave can help assess interfaces, operating strategies, testing, and readiness within the agreed project scope, but eligibility and participation are not guaranteed.

Procurement and next steps

The available materials do not establish a standard deployment timeline, pilot duration, or fixed procurement-artifact package. Those inputs depend on the site, equipment, interfaces, commissioning responsibilities, and buyer process. Contact WattWeave with the project context to determine the appropriate next conversation and available materials.

NEXT CONVERSATION

Bring the site context, not a generic brief.

Share the assets, controls stack, project stage, and responsibility questions that matter to your team. WattWeave will review the context and determine the appropriate next conversation.
